Creating Feature Event Receiver (2)

If you don’t want the feature activated when deployed, you can set the project’s Active Deployment Configuration to : No Activation.

Deploy the project again. This time it will not be activated.

Go to Site Actions Site Settings Manage Site Features, you should see your feature (unactivated).

Activate the feature. All 5 lists will be created now.

If you use stsadm.exe to deploy the solution:

Path of the stsadm.exe: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extension\14\bin

This command add the solution to the solution store:
stsadm.exe –o addsolution –filename C:\…….\*.wsp

This command deploy the solution to Sharepoint:
stsadm.exe –o deploysolution –name *.wsp –local –allowgac

Uninstall feature
–o uninstallfeature –name MySharepoint_feature1 – force
