Deployment Conflict Resolution – VS 2010

When building a Sharepoint Web Part in VS 2010, click the Web Part and look in the Property pane. A property called “Deployment Conflict Resolution” is set to either “None”, “Prompt” or “Automatic” (default?).

If it’s set to “None”, then after deployment the web part with the same name on the server will not be replaced with the new one; if “Prompt”, the user is promted that there is a conflict (web part of the same name already existed), and whether you want to replace it; if “Automatic”, then VS 201 will make a best guess, and most likely will replace the existing one.
