How to use InfoPath with Sharepoint 2010 to generate and customize lists within your sites.

To design a form that can work with Sharepoint Lists, select this form template:

If you select this option, you will need to answer a few questions: Site URL, select a list (or create a new one)

You can start editing the form – for every new input control you added to the form, a list field is added!

Click Quick Publish to publish the form

On Sharepoint 2010, you will see the new when you add a new list tiem.

Modifying a Form for an Existing Sharepoint List —

Two ways to start:
(1) Edit the Form from Sharepoint
(2) Open the form from InfoPath

(1) Edit the Form from Sharepoint
Go to Sharepoint site, select the list, and click Customize Form.

The your InfoPath Designer
will run and try to download/open the form from Sharepoint

(2) Open the form from InfoPath
Open as a new form, connect to the Sharepoint Site, select the list (Bruce DVD Collection), then the form will be retrieved.

To restore to the default Sharepoint List Form —
Sharepoint site à List à List Settings à Form Settings à Select
